Need to password protect excel generated using pxGenerateExcelFile
In many of the posts I have seen that people have given the below link to implement this.

But I need some clear steps on how to implement this inside an activity. Even after writing a java step which was given in above link, it is having issue. Do we need to import POI jar file or something

We need to import POI jar (may be 3.9). And please follow https://docs-previous.pega.com/importing-custom-java-archives-and-classes#:~:text=Pega%20Platform%20displays%20a%20page,Next%20to%20finish%20the%20import. for instructions on how to import.
And in java step need to give full class path.
Ex of code snippet:
