Need to append a query string to the URL during run time

The requirement is to append the query string to the URL when navigating from one screen to another on submitting the screen.

Example :

Current URL : https://colonialpenn.com/appy/qet_quote_details/

Desired URL: https://colonialpenn.com/appy/qet_quote_details/p1=GBL

After adding /p1=GBL to the URL, on submitting the screen it is showing the message "This action is not allowed as it is outside the current transaction".

Can someone please help to on how to achieve this? Thanks in advance.
