NBA Designer Issue 8.5 to 8.6 Post Upgrade
Hi Team,
We have successfully upgraded CDH 8.5 to 8.6. But when I am trying to launch NBA designer, it is showing the below error. I have saved the context dictionary twice but still getting the same error.
The Next-Best-Action Designer model is out of date and needs to be upgraded. Close and Relaunch NBA Designer once upgrade is successful to access it.

Can you check the PegaRules.log when you had performed the context dictionary save and NBA designer ? If the upgrade is not successfully we need to diagnose the underlyxing issue by reviewing the logs.

@Nizam It seems like NBA Designer update is stuck without progress. This can happen due to few different reasons. I may need you to answer few questions to get more insights into the probable root cause for this and try the below workaround to see if that resolves the issue.
Questions
- Any idea when NBA Update is triggered ?, did you click on the "Update" button after launching NBA Designer post 8.6 upgrade , or is it the case even before the 8.6 CDH Upgrade?
- When did you create NBA Designer for the first time? is it in 8.5 or earlier than 8.5?
- Did you save the Context Dictionary after the upgrade? if yes, did you recently change any context settings in it?
Workaround :
Step 1 ) Try manually setting MKTUpgradeToNBADMLinProgress DSS from Dev Studio to false. This will force NBA Designer to load instead of the current screen.
Step 2) Re-launch CDH Portal and open NBA Designer. If you see that NBA Designer needs an update (Update button would be visible), click on that and wait till the upgrade completes.
Let us know if you are still facing the issue after the workaround, we can try other ways.

@Nizam Context Dictionary and NBA Designer are two different things and we don't expect Context Dictionary to be saved post-upgrade. However, NBA Designer may need an update after CDH Upgrade and the same will be displayed when you launch Next-Best Action Designer with an option to trigger the update.
