Migration to documentum - Pega v6.3
Hi,
A Pega v6.3 application is storing Attachments in Blob. I have to migrate the application to use CMIS Documentum so that user can download attachment when required.
Can you please give me your inputs....Is there a migrarion procedure available.

We have a Pega v6.3 application with around 500 cases in production environment. All attachments for these cases are stored in blob (Pega Default).
What is issue? Right now, if user wants to download attachments, he/she needs to open the case in application and download attachment one-by-one. This is a tedious job.
What is required?
User want all the attachments to be available in a folder and those can be copied to their desktop or to a network location easily.
What is plan?
Integrate with CMIS Documentum. And migrate existing application attachments to CMIS Documentum.
What is question?
1) How to copy the existing attachments in application, to CMIS Documetum folder and map them to cases.
2) Is there an alternate approach to migrate existing attachments?

There is nothing out of the box for auto migration of existing attachments to ECM repositories. This would require a custom solution.

Hi Satyanarayana,
If you create a Product rule, you can include 'Data-WorkAttach-File' data instance in your product rule, this Data instance class has records for all work attachments.
However I presume you want to connect CMIS service from PRPC and send across the work attachments to the repository? If yes, you need to make use of the activity where you might invoke 'CMIS' service and as an inbound data you can send the attachments. Besides I might be wrong as I am not aware of your exact requirement.
