Data Migration to Pega 7 from Pega 6.2

Data Migration Helper tool.

With this tool, we are able to identify/generate the SQL statements. what are the next steps after that ? is there a process or document to guide us

Also let's say we want to move 1 week data only from A(Pega 6.2) schema to B schema (Pega 7) - what is the approach ?

Hi, Thanks for posting on PSC. I guess you could refer the help in landing page for instructions about using the Data Migration Helper. Though, link does have all detailed information with steps about data migration from earlier version of PRPC to Pega7.x https://pdn.pega.com/application-upgrades/migrating-case-data-from-earlier-prpc-versions-to-the-pega-7-platform Note:- Pegasystems recommends the out-of-place upgrade approach described in the Pega 7 Platform Upgrade Guide instead of selective application or case data migration. Hope you were looking for this information. Kindly notify if it does help you by marking this post as answered for tracking purposes and larger Pega audience. Regards, Asif

Will this be applicable to 7.3.1 upgrade as well ?  Also when we say out of place upgrade - is it taking about Rule and Data schema separated/split schema OR still we will have single schema a) clone the schema upgrade rules b) after a week when we go live use this migrate tool for copying data (1week) from PRPC 6.2 schema to the newly upgraded schema (cloned  + prpc 7.3.1 rules). ?
