Data Migration from Pega 6 to Pega 7

I want to use the DataMigrationTool to import Data from Pega 6.3SP1 to Pega 7.1.7.

I follwo the steps described

  1. Click Pega > Application > Import&Export > Import.
  2. Import the PegaECS_DataMigration06_01.zip file from the link below.
  3. Open the application rule form, and add the PegaECS-DataMigration:06-01 ruleset to the top of the stack.
  4. Log out and log back in to the application.

Then i whant to execute the following step:

           To access the Data Migration Helper, click Pega > Data Migration Helper.

but the Data Migration Helper is not to find under the Pega button.

Can somebody tell me why?

(I changed the Required Ruleset to Pega-ProcessCommander:06-03-10)

Maybe someone also migrate Data and have an hint for me.

We migrate our application and have a big amount of data. On the Pega 7 System where we migrate are some applications that migrate there some time before.

We do not destroy their data.

Hello All,

Annemarie has communicated on a private message that this issue has been resolved at the moment! Below is the solution which worked for her.

I moved the ruleset PegaECS-DataMigration:06-01 on an other position in the rulesetstack, an now I can access the Data Migration Helper on Pega Button. Pega > Data Migration Helper.
