Migrating from Websphere to Tomcat with same database

We are planning to migrate from WebSphere to Tomcat as our app server for Pega.

I kind of understand there is some code in the database tables which might be specific to WebSphere. Is there a way we can just set up apache tomcat and deploy the prweb.war and make use of the existing database?

If there are WebSphere specific classes in the pr_* tables, is there any way those dependencies can be removed and tomcat specific rules/classes can be inserted into those tables? so that we are not forced to install Pega a fresh and perform a code migration.

Any information would be highly appreciated!

Hi,

You can go ahead and deploy the prweb.war on tomcat referring the same database, pega dont put entry on the application server realted to database.

We did earlier, its worked fine.
