masking of information on the screen PRPC 7.2.2
In the current project we are doing , the application uses lots of PCI and PII information to go ahead with the process. The security team wants to have these information masked on the screen (Which is a fair comment from the security side). But masking these values would take away the entire usability aspect of the system as these information are driving factors for the application. Hence business is not linking the idea of masking the data.
We have provided the solution to mask the data and unmask it on click of the field. But this is not satisfactory.
I would like to know if anyone has come across such a situation, if so, was there any other approach followed that gives a better way of masking multiple fields on the UI?

If masking/unmasking is not approved, and it must remain masked at all times, it sounds like you should not even display the fields in the first place.
Can you expand more on the use case?

If i have understood correctly you don't want your user to view these fields but you can't hide them from the UI
As you have mentioned you want these fields to be present in the UI, and you don't want to mask it on click of the field, then how exactly do you want them to be masked.
One option is that you can use is the visibility condition on the cell property of the fields.
Please let me know if i am not getting your exact requirement.

Thanks for the reply. My problem in not with masking or unmasking the fields. I have the solution to do that. But the struggle i that the business partner doesn't want to hide the fields vs the security team who is asking to mask them.
To give an example, we have a grid on the screen which will have the contact information of the people. This contains PII and certain PCI information. Hiding this makes the user totally unaware of what work one self is performing. Unmasking each data element is a tedious task.
What i want to know is, if there is any such use case implemented and what UX design was opted for this.
