MARKETING DIRECTOR - segment creation is causing unique constraint violation in table STORED_FLD_TEMPL
Hi together,
we are using PEGA MARKETING DIRECTOR 6.6. Our business users are facing the issue that the creation of a new segment is causing an error. When checking the user logs we can see the oracle error UNIQUE CONSTRAINT VIOLATED for table STORED_FLD_TEMPL.
When checking the table based on the primary key it seems that the application has taken an existing SEG_ID for the new segment.
We have discovered a workaround for this in a way that business users can create a copy of an existing segment. This is working for them and a new valid SEG_ID is created. After doing that the CREATE SEGMENT option is working from scratch also.
Anyways this behaviour is unsatisfying and needs to be solved.

On reviewing the log file, we found that stray records were present in a CMD schema table. Issue was resolved on deleting these stray records.
We recommend creating an SR with Pega Global Customer Support, if the issue occurs again because stray records generated in CMD are sporadic in nature, cannot be generalized and deleting wrong records might cause inconsistency in CMD tables.

Hi Yoga,
Happy New Year.
I have tried different types of request type now but I am not able to complete the SR creation because file uploads are blocked from our side. Is there any way to create the ticket without a required attachment by default?
I would be able to provide required log files as password protected zip archives later on via email.

Kindly create the Support Request with an empty text document attached. Later, as you have stated, send the log files via an email. We will take it forward from there on. Please keep us posted here with the SR number for better tracking of the issue.
