LSA 7.3.1 VM - This kernel requires an X86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU

I downloaded LSA_731_VM_20171026.ova today from Pega Academy LSA 7.3 (no longer beta)

I imported this appliance into Oracle VirutalBox Version 5.2.4 r119785 (Qt5.6.2)

When I start this VM, I get the error:

This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU.
Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU.

Note that the VM has Operating System value 'Other/Unknown'

Hi yelas1,

I was facing the same issue. I manually changed the settings and now it is working.

If this does not work, please make sure that virtualization is enabled in BIOS.
