It seems like you have customisations of Web-Login. Please use OOTB one from 8.3, the problem should be resolved.

Hello Henry,
Which browser are you on? It is possibly a browser compatibility issue, kindly check the login screen on any other browser.
Also, you may tail the PegaRULES log while accessing the login page and note any any errors being logged.
Thank you,
Pawan

I am using Chrome. I also tried 'Chrome incognito' mode and I tried Firefox. This issue remains the same. Let me know if you have any other ideas.

do you see errors in the log similar to this one: https://community.pega.com/support/support-articles/login-screen-does-not-show-logo-or-background?

I did not see this error. I also did not see the DSS 'prconfig/authentication/RedirectGuests/default'
Let me know if you have any other ideas.

I have seen this kind of behavior after upgrading my own systems before. It is usually resolved after a browser cache clear and refresh of the screen. Can you try this? Or ctrl + F5 in chrome to refesh cache?

I tried. It did not work. Let me know if you have more ideas.

- Completed a save as of the 8.3 OOTB Web-Login.
- Then added our logo.
- Had to remove ‘Width’ for .logo-Container in py-login-Screen.css to make the logo centered.
- But all is well now. Thanks for your help!

Hi Henry,
Thanks for posting the query.
Please check if there are any customisations on the login page in the browser requestor type for your application.

If you are not having any customizations in the login page, then
Clear the contents of the Pega Temp Directory and Do a restart of the server and see if the issue is resolved or not.
Note: Do not delete the folder. Only delete the contents of the folder.

Hello,
- is it a customized DB that you upgraded or a default PEGA one without any customized code in it?
- apart the login screen which looks strange, can you log in with default admin account and finalize the upgrade?
- before the restart, have you defined/forced default "pega" system name instead (in prconfig.xml if still in v8.3, I'm only up to 8.2) of your customized application?
- Have you re-aligned synonym and grants at DB level which typically creates some issues post upgrade if not done?
- You should provide the logs of the startup. It will help identifying the issue or what's not the issue
Thank you
Regards
Anthony

Hi, do you happen to have a fresh install (not an upgraded one), if so, I suggest compare the css between working and broken and see if you find anything obvious. If it does not help and continues to be an issue, you may enter a support request and we can investigate the issue further. Thank you

Hi,
Please check the CSS and any custom code from the previous version needs to be upgraded too.
