Localization: Search Text in French language
Hi All,
We achieved to translate grid data to french language. But search is happening with english text only.
Is there any solution provided by pega to search a cloumn value( in french), by providing french text as search criteria?

Hi All,
We have observed similar problem where we have done French translation but over Home screen in My work list section, if we apply filter criteria over Request Type then it will not work.
Example
English Request Type as
1) Internal
2) Transfer
3) Movement
Respective French Translation of Request Type as
1) Interne
2) Transfert
3) Mouvement
As part of localization we have applied respective pyCaption field value hence over the screen during french context we will be able to see French varbiage for those listed Request type.
My question about to Search as well as filter criteria, how we can search based on French value?

The problem with the 'Search with localized values' on Report Definition is a known limitation.
An explanation is provided in Localization of values is unsupported in picker controls
A way around the issue may be that you could try to use an activity to fill a clipboard page with the translated values, then use that page to drive the grid - in that case, sorting and searching should then work on the translated values.
An enhancement request,FDBK-17844, has been created for consideration by Pega Product Management.
@NAQUS @AdamTorrey are you able to comment on whether there is a documented process for users wanting this functionality?
