Local Action Not Refreshing
Hi
I am working on the Repeating Grid Layout (pzModalTemplate), i have configured the Action Set (Local Action).
On Click of Submit the row should get deleted and refresh should happen.
But refresh is not happening.
Kindly please suggest.

It would be useful to know whether it is not happening because the server isn't being alerted to do it, or whether it is, but is choosing not to refresh. You could turn on the tracer and see what activities are being called in response to your click. /Eric

Kindly share us the PRPC version you are working on. It would help if you could elaborate your design/configuration (ex: actions/events configured in the local action)

Hi Vinod, could you post a screen shot of the Action Set that you configured to launch the local action. Is it the Action Set of the grid or of a button that appears in each row?

Like Armin suggested, post the action set that you have configured.
If you are launching a local action from a grid, ensure that you are using "Open Local Action" from under the List category while configuring the action.
The category also contains other actions like "Refresh row" and "Refresh List" which may be useful for your scenario

as Krithigassree already mentioned, you should give the "Open Local Action" action in the List category a try. The entire category is meant for actions to be taken on list items. The "Open Local Action" action in this category also provides several refresh options which should do exactly what you are looking for.

I have tried using this but the main problem is the values are present in the Clipboard pxResults and in the UI the row is still exists.

Please elaborate the use case.
Are you trying to delete the row on clicking the Delete icon ? If so you can use OnClick event-Delete Item action.

Hi mounika,
we are not using the OOTB delete, so i am not using the delete item in the action set.
As per the requirement user needs confirmation box after the click of the Delete icon and then our post activity will check if it has any references and then finally if not refrences are present it should delete the record from the DB (Grid).
In my action set i have one configuration - Launch -local Action
Issue: it is not getting refreshed even after the delete and it is present in the Clipboard.When i do a refresh of the section it is working fine.
But the issue will be on the click of trash if the user add a row and then give cancel,the row will disappear from the grid

Hi Armin,
I tried using the Open Local action but still i am facing the same issue of Grid not getting refresh, if we configure the Refresh this Section as a second action set after the Launch Open Action it is working fine,but with this it is effecting the other functionality on click of empty row and give cancel will refresh the section and row will disappear on cancel as well.

Hi Naveen,
it would be helpful if you posted some screen shots that show your configuration in a more detailed way. It would be interesting to know what the data source of your grid is, where excactly you configured the action, what kind of flow action you call, does it have pre and post-processing data transforms and activities, how do you actually delete a row and so on.
From far, it's a bit difficult to find out where the problem sits.

Hi Armin,
Usecase is we have Grid Layout we have customized the delete icon, as we need to launch a local action(which has confirmation section).
on the click of trash icon, we need to launch the local action which asks for confirmation and then on click of it our post activity will check if it has any references in the foreign key tables if so it will shoe the error messages,if not it should delete the record,and the latest data should be available on the Grid.

Hi Naveen,
In the local action on the confirm button ,Add an action called Refresh and give the section name which has your repeating grid,So this section will get refresh and you will be able to see the changes.

Hi Naveen,
If you are launching the local action on a perticular row ,In the action set after launching local action,Add another action called "Refresh Current Row",Hopefully it will work.
