Keep Spaces in the beginning of a text area

I want to keep leading spaces at the beginning of the para graph in a text area,

Hello,

Indentation or any other formatting options are not supported in the text area control in Pega.

The Rich Text Editor(RTE) control can be used in case of any formatting needs to be done.

If you enable the 'Indentation' option in the general tab of the RTE property (as given in the below image), the indentation option will be available in the RTE. RTE

Yes, I believe even if you tried to hack this by embedding or adding something like &nbsp, Pega will end up trimming extra white space before/after the content. The RTE option sounds like the most straight forward solution here.
