Is JBoss 8 eAP supported on a new Pega 24.1 installation?

We are upgrading an existing Pega 7.2 application to Pega 24.1, we are planning on setup our Pega 24.1 on JBoss 8 EAP and I would like to know if this setup is supported and accepted by Pega?

As per the support doc, there's information about JBoss 7.4 and below being deprecated in Pega 24.1. Its better to connect with your Pega account executive who'll get in touch with an SME.

@Julborre It's my understanding that jboss has been deprecated
Some important details from the Platform Support Guide:
- Beginning in Pega Platform 8.8, all application servers – except Tomcat - are deprecated. They continue to be deprecated in Pega Platform '23, Pega Platform '24.1 and the future release of Pega Platform '24.2, and will no longer be available in Pega Platform '25.
- The EAR deployment option is no longer supported. EAR deployments will no longer be included in the Pega Platform distribution media. This includes EAR deployment options for JBoss, Weblogic and Websphere.
I wasn't 100% clear about the definition of deprecated for this, and then I found the following to be helpful:
deprecate (verb): to withdraw official support for or discourage the use of (something, such as a software product) in favor of a newer or better alternative
