As of Pega version 24.1, AWS OpenSearch (both serverless and managed) is not officially supported. Pega still relies on Elasticsearch through the Search and Reporting Service (SRS). However, support for AWS OpenSearch is expected to start in future versions, most likely from Pega 25 onwards. This future support will include integration with OpenSearch versions 1.3 and some 2.x versions. It will allow connections to externally hosted OpenSearch instances and work similarly to current Elasticsearch setups. Once released, the feature will be available for use with newer Pega versions and through REST APIs. For now, customers using Pega 24.1 should continue using Elasticsearch
