Support for Datastax Enterprise with Pega 24.1
The Platform Support Guide states that Pega Platform supports only Apache Cassandra and DataStax Enterprise (DSE) Cassandra distributions.
We are planning to upgrade from 8.8.3 to '24.1 soon. We are currently using Datastax Enterprise 5.x running Cassandra 3.11.x.
The support guide also indicates that Cassandra 3.x is not supported in Pega '24.1.
What are the supported DSE versions for Pega 24.1? Even the latest version of Datastax (i.e. DSE 6.9) is based on Cassandra 3.11.

@AlexM171 We currently support Datastax Enterprise 6.8.x. If you run select release_version from system.local using cqlsh you can see that this version is based on Cassandra 4.0.x. Pega no longer support Cassandra 3.x. I hope this addresses your question.

I spoke with a resource from Datastax Support recently. I know in your response to my question you said DSE 6.8.x is based on Cassandra 4.0.x
And the technology roadmap states that as well. Pega Platform technology support roadmap
However, per the Datastax resource, the release_version in DSE 6.8.x is misleading.
Even though it says 4.0.x, it is actually a modified version of Cassandra 3.11 and not Cassandra 4.0.
I also understood from Datastax that there is possibility of performance degradation when going from DSE 5.1.x to DSE 6.8.x.
As we will soon be upgrading to Pega 24.1, we want to ensure that we have the correct version of Datastax and that any related upgrades to Datastax are not going to negatively impact application performance.
