Issues with ConnectionProblem in Connect SOAP
In Connect SOAP rule there is Error Handling section referencing OOTB ConnectionProblem. If I provide invalid Service endpoint URL this causes Connection Problem and error displayed is com.pega.pegarules.pub.services.RemoteApplicationException: SOAP service failed. On a Tracer there is no sign of ConnectionProblem flow being invoked. Connect SOAP is invoked via a Data Page.
In which circumstances would ConnectionProblem flow be invoked automatically?

Hi If you provide incorrect URL it will throw SOAP service failed exception only , but i want to understand when your running Connect-SOAP have you enabled SOAP messages option in tracer?

Hi,
For all the exception types other than ResourceUnavailable, processing continues in a FlowProblems flow. In your case it's ResourceUnavailable error.

Thanks, so some reason I thought this wouldn't be classed as Resource Unavailable, I thought it would be classed as something like Resource Not Found.
Regardless, how would you suggest handling Resource Unavailable error in this scenario? Route the case to alternative stage?

If a connector is invoked from Data Page, in that case ConnectionProblem Flow specified on SOAP connector would not be invoked. You have to handle the errors by yourself in either response datatransform or post load processing activity of Data Page.
ConnectionProblem flow will be invoked automatically if and only if connector is invoked from an activity and exception handling was not done on the transitions step of the activity.
