Issue trying to optimize property for reporting
I had a class with a few properties created in a branch. This class was deleted from the branch and a new class with the same name and properties was created in in the main application. When I attempt to optimize the new property the system tells me it has already been optimized. If I try to run the the Report Definition I get an error that the stating that the property is unoptimized. Is there a way that I can "re-optimize" the property. It seems there is conflict because I used the same class and property names that existing in the branch.

Hi,
Can you try the below, and then try reoptimizing the property ?
1)Check if the property is already optimized or not, by verifying in db table, if it has created a separate column for that.If there exists a separate column ,
a)Alter Table dbo.pc_xx_xx_Work DROP COLUMN TestProp;
2) When we optimize any property, it will create entries in pr_changelog table.Hence we need to delete them.
a)select pxInsName from dbo.pr_changelog where pxInsName like '%TestProp%' ORDER BY pxInsName DESC;
b)delete the above entries that got retrieved
delete from dbo.pr_changelog where pxInsName ='xxx’;
3)Resave the database table instance for this class in which this property (testprop) is present
4)Now right click on the property, to reoptimize it again.
This should help in reoptimizing a property.

Thank you very much, Haritha. I had a similar problem. Deleting the records as you recommended worked for me - I was able to optimize the property again.

Hello,
Added with what Haritha suggested, I would also like to understand whether you have run the delete a class wizard for deleting the class or manually deleted them ?
Also have you merged the branch ruleset ?
