Issue in OOTB Work-.SendEmailToManagerOnDeadlineTime
HI, In Pega 7.1.6, I am Save as the .OOTB Work-.SendEmailToManagerOnDeadlineTime to customize. Please find the attachment OOTBIssue2 Without any changes to save as Work-.SendEmailToManagerOnDeadlineTime, while save it is throwing error. Hello!
On reviewing the SR, it looks to have been concluded with the below details.
Root Cause: This activity was defined in the earlier PRPC versions. The methods in the java step of the activity are not supported in the 03-02 vesrion.
Resolution: Select the Jave API version as 02 instead of 03-02

This is a very old activity. There seems to be lot of changes happened to the Engine APIs overtime. For example, SendEmailToManagerOnDeadlineTime activity has a java step where in myStepPage.doActivity is invoked. doActivity needs to be invoked on PublicAPI(tools)like tools.doActivity(). This is the reason for the errors on the Save. Pega may have to fix the errors in this case.
Also note that it is marked as API, which meant for the direct usage and not for override(though it is marked as available!). Better write your own version.

I do agree with you, It is in latest Pega 7 ruleset version.
Currently same Corr Name is used for Assignee and Manager. I was trying to update different Corr Name in Java step for Manager activity "SendEmailToManagerOnDeadlineTime".
I am not aware of team which works on it. Can you share this with them. Pega may fix the errors.

I am able to perfectly saveas the above activity into my ruleset . And yes, it has been marked as API, which means it should be directly used in your application, without any customization .
