Dear all,

we are wondering whether it is possible to import Rules from a prior Pega major version into a more current major version.

The starting position is as follows:

• We have a DEV environment currently running on 7.1.9
• We are supposed to create a copy of the DEV environment which will be called Sandbox
• We will upgrade the Sandbox environment to Pega 8.x while following the steps mentioned in the particular upgrade guide

Following this approach, the rules that were already available at the time of the DB copy (DEV -> Sandbox) will be upgraded through the standardized upgrade process.

We are wondering how to proceed in regards to rules that might be created in the DEV environment after the DB copy has been taken. The questions here is whether

1. we can easily export them as a product in 7.1.9 and then import them in 8.x
2. whether all necessary upgrade tasks will be taken care by Pega 8.x

Please note that we don't mention skimming related aspects here since our questions are purely referring to the points mentioned above.
