Impact of removing ServerLifecycleListener from Tomcat 7

Hi,

We have a PRPC 5.5 application running on Tomcat 6. We are planning to migrate the application to Tomcat 7. Noticed that Tomcat 7 has removed support of org.apache.catalina.mbeans.ServerLifecycleListener.

We need to understand the impact (if any) of removing ServerLifecycleListener on the application. Is PRPC 5.5 dependent on ServerLifecycleListener?

Hi,

There is no dependency on ServiceLifecycle listener from Pega application perspective. Listeners are used by tomcat extensively to monitor a specific task, they will not hinder application processing.

However, as you would be upgrading the application, please go through the Platform support guide to determine your application compatibility with Tomcat 7.
