HTML gadget "findWorkByIDQueryNext" replacement in pega 7.2.2

Application is upgrading from 6.3 to 7.2.2. Search functionality is not working by using "findWorkByIDQueryNext" HTML. If we click on find its not doing anything except refreshing the portal. In case of developer login, its going designer studio again. Please suggest solution for this issue.
