How to set properties without being inside a flow
I have a section that is not part of a flow, which has several fields, these fields keep the value that I write to it even when I reload or relaunch the portal, I would like these text input (properties) to be set to an empty value every time I launch the portal or reload the browser page. I tried to call an activity from the Defer loading content->Specify a preloading activity option, in the dynamic layout options where the text inputs are, but with this I only got the activity to run every time I write something in a field, so the activity deletes anything as soon as I write it, when what I need is for the activity to run only ONCE.
Is there any other way to set the properties only once to an empty value when launching or reloading the portal, or am I calling the activity from the wrong place?

Way to load default values in portal is by using Pre-Load activity (or) pyDefault data transform.
For your scenario what you can do is, in pre-load activity 1st time when it is getting loaded in first step of activity have a editable data page and set the boolean property value as "Value Loaded" in data page context.
In pre loading activity first step pre condition check this data page boolean property value is "Value Loaded", if yes exit activity otherwise let the steps in activity can get executed. If you are going for this approach then only onetime steps in activity will get executed from second time system will exit activity without executing any steps.
You can have the data page in requester level scope with editable mode.

@Gunasekaran Baskaran Why would a boolean property have that value? Where is that value defined in the data page settings? What would be the source of the data page? What method do I use in the activity to call a data page? Can I use the activity I already have? I can't locate PyDefault and I can't create it because it is a PEGA reserved name. Sorry for all the questions, I'm very new to PEGA

As your section is not part of the flow, I believe you launching harness with section inside it to capture the details in the temporary Page. Instead of this you can also use editable datapage to collect the data from the section.
Lets say you are launching the harness by clicking the navigation menu in the portal . You can provide an activity in the Launch Harness action to remove the temporary page or flush the datapage and then initialize the page again by setting pyLabel) . This takes care of removing the details before launching the harness.
Now if you want to remove the values on the browser refresh , Then the defer load will help . But you have to make sure no fields contains refresh the section action . This will retrigger the defer load and remove the values again. (Instead you can add a Reset Button and run the same activity which you used above)
