How to retrieve date using a menu?
Hi, We are using pega 7.2 and we have to select a value from a menu and then load data from a local data storage using that selected value(id) for a section.
Sample scenario - Fruit -> Apple
When we select the value 'Apple' from the menu(using a navigation rule) then pass the value as a parameter and retrieve data from a local data storage.
E.x. - When we select 'Apple' scientific name of the apple should appear in the section.

Can you try running activity by passing parameter as property used for label for on click action in the menu.
In Activity,do obj-open by passing datatype class as page name and set property value as the parameter value and property name as datatype column.
In the next step do property set with the property value from local datastorage and you can refer the property in the section for display.

Hi Vidural,
I see you're still looking for an answer, but you did not report back your results of sarab's suggestion. Did that suggestion not work out for you?
Also, is there any particular reason you cannot use a control which would more naturally hold a specific value? Like a dropdown?
