how to read a field in the text file and get mapped to pega property?
Hi,
My requirement is to read the text file and get the value of a particular field into pega which is to displayed in the UI.
For example, A Date property in the text file "Start Date" has a date.I need to get that date in my application date property name called "JoiningDate". Anybody can help me with this?

How do you envision the file will be sent/processed to Pega?
e.g.
- Will you be placing it somewhere and configuring a file listener?
- Are you going to upload the file manually into a case as an attachment?
- Are you going to import the file as a sort of batch processing?
Depending on the use case, it will drive the options available.

I also have a follow up question-
Does it have to be a text file? Instead if data was stored in excel file, you could use the MSOParseExcel file activity to achieve what you want. Have you explored that?

Hi Poornima,
Use file services to read and process the data in files that were exported from another system or copied to a specific folder in a file repository. The file listener monitors the file directory and calls the file service when files arrive.
