How to open new section to edit records in report

Hi,

I have create a report and reference it using section. i want to open a new section after click on any entry in report so that i can edit it how i can do this.

Hi Deepak,

How did you reference the report in section, using repeating grid?

If yes, you can configure row operations to edit the row with Master Detail. And Launch a flow action section to edit the details.

Let me know your requirement in detail.

Hi Deepak,

You can do this easily by creating repeat Grids or Tables. 
They can be sourced with Report that you already have and you can edit it line by line without needing a section.

Hi Deepak,

We get it! You have created a report, referred it in a section. Now that you want to edit each line of report using a section. You can actually configure that using the Grid operations like what said in the last two replies.

But may we know the purpose? Because though you edit it in run-time, though the UI allows you to edit the records of report on screen, they don’t ultimately update the report. Report is just a select query on a table or a join of tables. So your edits don’t go back to the server or they don’t get stored anywhere. So instead refer a property, page list sourced by the Report and then edit this page list which will be stored with respect to a workobject.
