How to open an assignment from a listview of class Assign-Workbasket in read only mode( may be in review harness) on single click in version 5.5
Hi,
I want to open an assignment from a list view in review harness.
the requirement is few user can open cases and can only view, can't perform any action .|Is there any OOTB solution of it.
if not how can i modify WorkListViewFragment to get it.Please tell me

Hi Siddhartha,
If there is an assignment involved it will always be perform harness. Concept of review harness makes sense for Cases.
User's not having access to assignment should not be able to open from here and should access case from somewhere else.
Can you explain your requirements in more detail. That would help providing a better solution.

Hi Pankaj,
The requirement is we have a dedicated portal from where a user can open an assignment in read only mode. We managed it to make read only the input fields but action buttos are still clickable .
Is is possible to make it read only

It sounds like you want the work to be un-modifiable and un-lockable which is normally controlled by the security mechanism which is tied to access groups rather than portals.
So, how about defining a role called “Performer” and associate that role with the access group that is in use when the user is allowed to modify the work, which we can call “AGForPerforming”, and is not associated with the access group that is in use when the user is only allowed to read the work but not modify it, which we can call “AGForReading”.
Things you’ll need to do to flesh this out more:
1) Make sure your flows are configured so the “Performer” role is required for modifying work created by that flow
2) Make sure the user is using “AGForPerforming” or “AGForReading” as appropriate.

Please see if the PerformCriteria decision rule is being invoked during the opening of the assignment (I assume you already have the perform harness opening from your list view right ?) . If PerformCriteria is being invoked, can you do save-as into your private ruleset and modify it to return false for your desired situation ? /Eric

This UX issue is regular enough across many parts of the application, that this should be addressed universally --
