How to Improve Pega Performance on Large Data Set in a Case Type?
Hi Pega Community,
I’m currently working with a Pega application that processes large data sets within a case type. The performance seems to degrade when dealing with larger volumes of data, and I’m looking for best practices or tips to optimize performance.
- Are there any specific configurations in Pega to improve data processing speed?
- What are the recommended strategies for handling large datasets in case types?
- Any common pitfalls I should avoid to ensure efficient case processing?

We have couple of options to tune the performance
1. Data flows are scalable and resilient data pipelines that you can use to ingest, process, and move data from one or more sources to one or more destinations. Each data flow consists of components that transform data in the pipeline and enrich data processing with event strategies, strategies, and text analysis. The components run concurrently to handle data from the source to the destination.
2. Queue processors - Leverage dedicated QP to offload the heavy processing so it will be done in the background without impacting the users.
