How Do IH, Stream, and Export Settings Work

Hi, In a newly implemented application running on Pega version 24.2, we have the following configuration:

  • writeToIH DSS is set to true
  • writeToStream is set to false
  • Export to file is enabled under Application → General → Data Export

I have a couple of questions regarding how data flows under this setup:

  1. Will data be written to both Cassandra (IH) and the relational database (PostgreSQL)?
  2. Will an IH data file be generated as part of this configuration?
  3. Are these processes (writing to IH, writing to DB, and exporting to file) handled in parallel, or is there a specific sequence in which they occur?

Any insights into how these settings behave in Pega 24.2 would be greatly appreciated.
