How do I turn off dynamic generation of case IDs?

We've upgraded from Pega 8.1.3 to 8.5.5 and some of the users were a little concerned by this.

Is there a way to turn this off?

I've seen the link asking about it and how it was added in 8.3.

Updating below mentioned DSS value should help you in generating the case id in a sequence..

idGenerator/defaultBatchSize DSS value to 1
