How to deploy purge/archive settings?
Is there any way or recommendation to release purge/archive settings to production? We would like to test purge/archive in development/test environment, and then import to the production. Is it possible? Or do we have to configure it on production directly?
As far as I checked, an archival settings is an instance of Data-Admin-ArchiveSettings, and the schedule is configured in work object which is instance of PegaAccel-Management-Archival. It seems that we can export these instance (and assignment?) in a package and import the package to another environment. Is there any concern on this?

Thank you. It seems the settings (Data-Admin-ArchiveSettings) and work object (PegaAccel-Management-Archival) should be exported by RAP and imported to another (or same) environment. Since SLA agent picks up the assignment (Assign-Archive), so you probably need to include this instance too, otherwise, purge/archive won't process until you submit the schedule (work object).

Of course you can test it in Dev, Test or Pre-Prod. You do not have to use it in Production directly.
So you may have less cases in Dev to Purge/Archive of course but you can just change the settings accordingly for your testing phase.

You can test purge and archive in the development environment. When you do a purge and archive, you set a time what all work objects you want to archive (say older than a year in prod, in dev may be older than 10 days for testing). Once the process completes, it will give a RAP which will contain those WO. You can export the same WO anytime in the same system or different system.
Pega will setup an agent to do this task and you can monitor this agent. It could be one time process as well. There is a wizard which you can follow step by step.
