Pega PURGE/ARCHIVE wizard -
While configuring Purge/Archive wizard – at step 3: Choose Filtering Criteria form.
Items aging at least...
as in help it say: items that are resolved for (f.x. 20) days or longer as of the date of the cycle.
Question. What to you mean by resolved days. What status (Resolved-Cancelled, Resolved-Completted_ etc.) and what data (Last update date, Commit date, Resolved Time Stamo date etc..) we are talking about.

Does that mean that my case pyStatusWork must be – Resolved-Completed with pyResolvedTimestamp older than 20days.
Or it can also be pyStatusWork -> Resolved-Cancelled with pyResolvedTimestamp older than 20days.
Would be great to have more detail explanation.

Hi Vygintas,
It can be any resolved status like Resolved-Completed/Cancelled/Rejected,etc. It states that any work object with resolved status and pyResolvedTimeStamp older than 20 days.
Hope that clears your doubt.

I am just wondering is there some simple way to track if this Purge feature is working or not :)

If you are performing the Purge functionality then you can check the respective work object instances, to make sure they are getting removed or not from database.

Or you can cross check in PegaTempDIR/ArchivedWork folder which creates the zip file with the purged content in it.

after a weekend I have found such information under Interval Statistics. (have attached word file with configuration)
0 items were archived and purged
8 items were failed.
I Configurated Purge/Archive resolved cases older than 20 d. and While doing a report I see that there are plenty of Resolved cases ~ 900 cases with resolved status till today attached exel file.
I do not see any reason while this is Purging function is not working.

@VygintasB6760 i have below observations as follows:
- In the wizard you had selected all the classes which starts from SS-FW-SCSAdmFW-Work-* but in the data you had provided in the excel file contains very few work objects of this class hierarchy.
- Did you noticed any error information in the PegaRULES log file during this purge functionality execution?
- If not could you enable Rule_Obj_Activity.ProcessConfig.PegaAccel_Management_Archival.Action class to DEBUG mode and check the log after the purge functionality has been executed to get more information about this process.
- PegaAccel-Management-Archival.ProcessConfig is the activity which is being used by this feature during purge/archive.
Hope this information might help you to proceed further.

thank you for comments. And yes I selected a wrong classes.
Now I got good results (attached conf.)
I will analyze the results and will do some more testings on the Purge before applying it to Production.

just a short question. How I can Import all cases back to PEGA while I am having this .zip file?
And what if under Shcedule conf we will select Purge instead of Purge/Archive. Would if be not possible to restore files back., only see what has been deleted?

You can import the data using the Import wizard and if you choose Purge then the work objects will be removed from the database and stored into the zip file. If you are performing Archive then the work objects will not to deleted in the database instead they are just archived into the zip, which is similar to the Export functionality of work objects using Product file.

I have tested Purge/Archive and it Delete cases and creates zip file.
but when I tryed only Purge, I got a attached result. I guess System only Delete's the cases and not creating any zip file for restoring.
Am I correct?
