How to create field value for RD column headings
Hi All,
can anyone help me in creating a field values to Report definition column headings. My requirement is have a column heading greater than 64 characters. If i give the text directly, it is throwing Guardrail warnings which will be a problem to my score if i leave it as is.
Please help!!!

I'm having the same observation in 8.2.2
Oddly enough if I reduced the size of the report so that the header is in-line with the values then I do see the field value Text. Whereas when I expand the window so the header is at the top it only shows the field value Name.
However, if I save the field value into @baseclass then it's displaying the field value Text (regardless of how the results are displayed)

Pega automatically creates Field values for labels to support localization for some of the heading.
Since in this case the length is more than 64 characters and system can't create an id greater than 64 characters you are getting the above warning.
- Please create a valid field value giving less characters in the id field.
- Give the same text, which you want to display in translated to field.
- Use the id as column heading in the RD.
- Run the RD and check whether Field value translated text is getting picked up in UI or not

Thank you for your response. I tried your approach. Created a field value and gave that field value name in the "column Heading". However, It is not displaying the content given in the field value but instead it is displaying the field value name as is. I am attaching the steps i followed. Let me know if i misunderstood ur steps:

Hi,
This worked for me.. I saved a field value in @baseclass and used that in my RD. IT is now displaying the text rather the name.
