How to clear cache in 7.4
How to clear different types of cache in 7.4 environment?
I understand Pega depricated the extract marker file usage starting 7.4 and have read articles suggesting to use SMA but haven't found any instructions on how that can be done via SMA.
Can anyone shed some light on it?

In Pega 7, you can clear caches from SMA -> Advanced
There are different types of caches which handle different things.
For example, "Application Based Assembly Cache", "Conclusion Cache" , "Rule Cache Management" and etc.
Before you do any cache cleanup, it is better to consult with Pega GCS.

As Susan mentioned, if you are facing any issue with cache, please reach-out to Pega GCS, instead of clearing cache which is not recommended.
It may fix the issue temporarily but can reoccur again in future.
We recommend to fix the root cause of the issue than clearing cache.

Can you give us a brief of the issue faced by you ? Might be the issue faced by you does not depend on cache .
As we do not recommend clearing cache .

Yes, i see the options in SMA for clearing the cache and as you all suggested i understand its not a good idea to clear.
Can anyone clarify me on the difference between Application-Based Assembly cache vs Rules Assembly cache vs Vtable cache?
Are all of these by default configured/setup in Pega 7.4?
