How to circumstance a rule based on accessgroup
Hi Folks,
Someone please help to clarify my doubt...
If I want to circumstance a section based on accessgroup then if i just give the property name as .pyAccessGroup and in the value if i enter the AG name then will it work? should I add " " for the value?
In my case it is not working. My doubt is if we refer AG in activity then we'll call it through the temp page with Data-Admin-Operator-ID class right? then in circumstance will it consider automatically?

Hi @DurgaR87: If I understand this correctly, you have the access group in the primary page and you are calling the rule which is circumstanced. Regardless of whether the value is with in double quotes or without double quotes, it should work. If this is not working, would you be able to share some evidence / screenshot to validate?
Suggestion: Not sure on the root cause / business requirement because of which you are trying use circumstance. If possible avoid using circumstancing a rule if you can specialize it using other methods like ruleset / class.

@ArulDevan Thank you for your reply. I did similar to the screenshot i attached, but its not working. And the access group is not in primary page, as it'll will be available in OperatorPage.

Hi @DurgaR87: If you are planning to circumstancing the rule based on operator page, please use as below.
Note you can use requestor page too. Also do note that this will have issues if you have multiple access group for the users. So I strongly suggest to specialize based on ruleset / class if possible.

Circumstance the needed rule by using template and in circumstance template rule define the logic.

OperatorID = This is system generated page, so you can make use of this page and build your logic.

Yes, it will not work..
Pega will expect the pyAccessGroup value to be avail in the page context in which the rule is getting executed. You need to explicitly mention the OperatorID page in circumstance field of the rule.
