Hello,

I believe this is because the attachment has to be stored on the Database and associated with the correct Case.

So if your case hasn't been created yet it becomes impossible.

If you are creating a case via email functionality you can attach the attachments to case. 

Attaching a document, is it done manually or automatically from back-end?

We are able to attach the doc after creating the Case ,We are creating the case manually not through email.

While creating case we tried to attach the document and we are getting below error 

"** Exception occurred while mapping incoming response to .response_POST"

Have you tried creating temporary object?

You can try to attach in pyStartCase Flow. For this you can simply add Attach Content Smart Shape. Then it will work.
