How can i call from activity like this ((Call UpdateStatus))

Hi All i am new to pega,

I have scenario like this,  I had created work objects with status are New,Open,Pending,Resolved and Resolved-Rejected. These are all work objects, i want to show like this, from create pxCreateDateTime to after Last 7 Days ,after 7 Days work object will become Resolved-Rejected and in case Who has created that particular work object still his in Open or Pending or Resolved. After 7 Days That status work will get automatically Resolved-Rejected.

How will i get this? Report Defination or else Call UpdateStatus? Call Rule-Obj-Report-Definition.pxRetrieveReportData
