How to call a SLA from an activity? 

Could you please provide me screenshots to see how I can achieve this?

SLAs are picked and processed automatically by OOTB standard agent rule (Pega-ProCom). We should not be invoking them from application rules.

I fully agree with what has been said above. 

But also you could eventually from your activity change the assignment urgency and eventually execute what the SLA rule would be executing.
