To assign a work item from a Work Queue (WorkBasket) to a Worklist (i.e., to a specific user/operator), you'll typically do this using case actions or assignment routing logic in the case lifecycle.

1. Access the Assignment in the Work Queue

• The case or assignment is first routed to a Work Queue (e.g., Team-Manager queue).

• This is done using a routing option like To Work Queue during case design.

2. Claim the Assignment (Pick from Queue)

• In Constellation, end users can pick or claim an assignment using the "Pick" or "Get Next" functionality if configured.

Open the item from the WorkQueue, click Actions (⋯) and choose Transfer/Reassign, then pick the target operator; that moves it to the user’s Worklist immediately. If you don’t see Transfer, add the Reassign/Transfer case-wide optional action in App Studio (Case type → Settings → Actions) and make sure the role has the TransferAssignments privilege. For bulk moves, enable Bulk actions on the list and transfer multiple items to an operator. For automatic routing, set the assignment’s Routing to “ToWorklist” (specific operator, by field, or decision) instead of “ToWorkQueue.” To do it in automation, call the pxTransferAssignment utility (Assign- class) with ToOperatorID and remove the original queue assignment. Make sure the operator has access to the case and that the case isn’t locked by someone else. SLAs and audit history continue unchanged after the transfer. Refresh the user’s Worklist to see the new item.
