Have to customise the close button functionality on Dynamic Container Tab
The requirements are:
1. User clicks close icon (x) on the dynamic container tab.
2. Pega to check the DB table for any case related updates.
3.If update found then show pop-up to the user saying that case data will be updated.
we have achieved this on the close button on the case screen by running activity and showing model dialog. we want to achieve the same functionality on the close icon on the tab
if anyone customised the close icon(x) on the tab please let me on how to do this

Could you please confirm the prpc version that you are in?
Also, the tabs are configured using a Tab group layout which is deprecated and is no longer supported. Regarding your requirement, please confirm your configuration details whether you are using tab group for displaying the tabs.

we are using pega 7.2.2.

The feature that you are looking for is a default behavior for any tab.
If there is any modification in a tab which has not been saved then if you click on close icon, a pop up will be shown asking if you want to save or discard the changes you have made.
We are prompted with options to do save, discard or cancel. Are we looking for a different requirement? If so kindly let us know.

The one you have explained is pyDirtyCheckConfirm which is prompted when there a unsaved changes on the case UI.
I have a different requirement.
As per our application design.
we are receiving all case related updates (Create Case, Reassign, Close Case) through REST service request.
if the case is being worked by a user (locked by User ) and we get reassign request we store that request in DB Table.
and when user clicks close button or Close icon on the tab we should show the modal dialog(Or some sort of notification) that case will be reassigned to xyz
we are able to reassign the case successfully on close icon (x) click. But we are not able to show any notification to current user.
