Version 6.3 sp1: How to close multiple dynamic container tabs on close of one tab?
On the user portal, work objects are opened in tabs in a dynamic container. When a user is working in a dynamic container tab, there may be links that when clicked will open more tabs in the same dynamic container. We have a requirement that when the user closes (clicks the red X) on the "main" tab from which other tabs opened, we must close the main tab, and all tabs opened from it. Does anyone know how to implement such a requirement?

Thank you, Marc. There does not appear to be a version of that function for 6.3. Also, I am looking to close specific tabs -- only those that were opened as a result of clicking on a link from another tab in the dynamic container. There might be other tabs open that I do not want to close. I would have to put some identifying property/value combination on a clipboard page for each tab opened from another tab.
I assume, when the main tab is closed, I need a way to iterate through each open tab; examine a clipboard page on that tab for the value that indicates it is related to the main tab; cause the tab to close.
I have found a way to get each thread name using an activity and the engine API. However, I have not found a way to go on from there.

Our subject-matter experts have confirmed that there isn’t an out-of-the-box function in PRPC 6.3 SP1 to accomplish what you have described; however, Pega 7 does have this capability. If you’d like to continue to explore how you may accomplish this in PRPC 6.3 SP1 through some custom JavaScript, then I’d recommend that you continue with the discussion on the Community in hopes that another participant has encountered a similar situation.

Hi GM,
From your initial comment, you have said
1. you are able to open work in new seperate tab in dynamic container leaving parent tab intact.
2. Now when parent tab is close.. you want to close child tabs
How did you manage to impliment point no 1 ... i am stuck there and i do have requirement for point no 2 .. did you finally achieve to solve this ?
