Grid Capabilities in Version 7.2
Hi All,
Has someone worked on requirements like persisting user selected sort and filter criteria in Pega version 7.2.
We have a requirement where user should be able to customize a grid (user should be able to rearrange the columns, hide/show columns he wants) and also whenever he modifies any sort or filter on a repeat grid- it should get persisted for the session.
The first requirement for the customized grid was been achieved using the Virtual Report Definition. (UI Gallery suggests how user can do that) we extended the same and added a persistence functionality.
However, we are unable to apply the persistence for sort and filter ON THE VIRTUAL REPORT PAGE.
Has anyone tried this. Any help would be appreciated!
I know Pega 8.1 looks like the best option right now, but business doesnt want to upgrade now and this is an extremely critical requirement.

Can we use 'Specify Load Activity' option present in design-time when we select 'Specify Virtual Report Definition' on the Grid Repeat Layout Properties.
Can you elaborate on the use of this option. We are sourcing our grid through Report Definition, providing a Virtual Report Page and using a custom results page.
We are creating the Virtual Report Page in a defer load activity before the layout launches.
