Function used within an activity is not seen in the system
Hi All,
We have an existing custom function that is being called within an existing activity.
I needed to change this function but for some reason I am not able to find it neither under function nor function alias categories and even all content search is not showing the function. Also via function builder it is not to be seen. But the activity runs and even executes fine which means the function exists (recompilation is successful too) .
Can someone share info on what could be the reason and how can we resolve the same.

What version are you using? Is the function marked as internal? If it is, you can set the pyShowInternalLibrary When rule to true so it displays in the Expression Builder.

Hi Carissa,
Thanks for responding. We are using Pega 7.4. Having said that the code has been existing since some time like 2 years.
I tried the above but still the same issue. Not just the expression builder, function doesn't show anywhere. Do you see, anything else that could have resulted in this?

Hi,
You can try below workarround's and check that helps.
Try to extract the libarary of function from SMA, if that does not work try to restart the server by cleaning the temdirectory which will generate all the java files again.

If you know the ruleset and ruleset version that function resides in, you can go to there to try to find it under Function rule type.
I had one similar experience with one customer. We could not find customer's function initially. Later, we found it on the last page (total 5 pages) of the return results. For some reason, the sorting did not work well on that environment. That function stayed in the end of the result. So, make sure go through the list to the end.
