File uploader for RTE
Can we upload PDF files or any file using RTE just like image uploader?
We got a requirement recently from our client for Pega Knowledge Management application that they needed to upload a PDF into server and refer the link to open the file in a tab. They are not liking the feature of attaching it to an article as vendors are not able to download the file due to security protocols.
So we are looking to see if Pega offers such tool to use to upload files in the server and reference it in the html content of RTE.

I don't think PRPC provides DnD for TextArea and RTE in OOTB way.
One way to achieve your requirement is writing the script with ondrop event on the textarea.

I will take a look at this. But is there any other way to achieve this. I am looking more like an icon in RTE that can load the files from files explorer just like the way the image uploader works. I saw few articles talking about custom plug-in way of loading files. Do we have a sample to look into it?
