Factors causing PEGA JVM's slowness during startup.

Hi Team,

What are some of the reasons that a PEGA JVM will load slow during the start up ? On top of my mind, DB & APP server datacentre locations and improper indexes related to PR_ENGINE_CLASSES.

Please append any additional causes.

@PradeepPydiSharing few scenarios which i faced.

  • Cluster is not healthy / you have dangled nodes in status_nodes table
  • Listeners configured to start on engine start-up
  • HEAP allocated to the nodes are less
