BadClassDefinitionException during startup
Hello,
when we start our PRPC 6.2 SP1 application in our Websphere environment we got the following error:
2016-09-23 10:06:57,940 [pzzapp0274.insim.biz] ( infengine.cbi.GlobalCache) ERROR - Caught DatabaseException while trying to get classes from entries Database-BadClassDef History-NN-NNServices-NN-Int-FMig-File-FelixMigrationFile
com.pega.pegarules.pub.database.BadClassDefinitionException: Database-BadClassDef History-NN-NNServices-NN-Int-FMig-File-FelixMigrationFile
I did check serveral tables etc etc but not able to find from where this is referenced. The class itself has been deleted a quite while ago and the problem exists for a quit long periode. Anyone idea were to check?
Regards,
Maurice Boer

Does this prevent the pega engine from starting up? Can you attach the full start-up log?

Looks like your engine is starting up despite the error. If you can login to the dev portal, can you check the class
History-NN-NNServices-NN-Int-FMig-File-FelixMigrationFile to see which table is mapped to?

Hello Kevin,
thanks for your reply, but this class doesn't exists anymore. I also checked the PR4_Base table but also within this table I am not able to find the class (reference), as expected. So bottomline is where is the system collecting this information from.

HFix-5890 addresses this issue in PRPC 6.2 SP2. You could enter an SR to see if it can be ported to PRPC 6.2 SP1.
The error occurs when the class that was deleted had declarative rules associated to it. When the class was deleted the declarative cache entry did not get removed so an error occurs when running the "Starting global declarative cache pre-load..." step.

I overlooked the SR request. I will open one today. And it makes sensce what you are saying that it is a cache problem. The error also disappeared when I cleared the cache files in out Test environment. This was needed because of a class inherent changed. The SR entered is SR-B9265. As the we no intent to clear the cache in our Accepance and Production environment. I can confirm it the SR will be succesfull for 6.2 SP1.
