Extract Data in CSV via BIX
Hi,
We have a requirement to extract all resolved case data in CSV format via BIX. We don't want to run BIX independently by running command line script for all resolved cases, rather to avoid manual intervention we want to run extract rule via an activity everytime case is resolved. But in this approach there is a risk for CSV file from getting overridden when another case is resolved. is there any solution of this?

We have to specify this in the To File name in property tree of extract rule:

You can configure the activity which is responsible for generating the excel containing resolved cases through an agent. Just an idea, not sure if it's feasible for your use-case.

We can run agent but when 2nd time agent runs, won't it replace the existing csv file? Can bix generate unique csv file name every time we run Extract rule?

Hi,
To change the file name dynamically after each run, we can specify substitution strings like %s for serial number in the To file name.
These are the list of substitution strings available(%i,%s,%c,%r,%d,%t)
You can use %s so that it will add a serial number starting from one to file name.
I believe we have to configure an agent queue to hold the resolved cases and run the extract to a separate file(using %s) for each queue item.

Unfortunately I did not get it. Where do you want me to specify this substitution string? I am using pxExtractDataWithArgs activity to run Extract rule but I guess the activity does not accept such parameters. Could you please explain more in detail?
