expandStream.dat files

Hi,

I've Pega 7.1.7 running on Websphere application server. I'm seeing set of files generated

/apps/appserver0x/PR_Temp/******expandStream.dat

Does anyone have any idea about these data files. Planning to cleanse them to prevent running out of space, but need to know the impact.

Any clue is much appreciated.

Kumar,

The ****expandStream.dat files are definitely generated by PRPC when there is an error expanding certain properties or messages by the core engine and the file is to capture the problematic stream.  I would recommend engaging GCS if you are seeing a lot of them.
