Execute Edit Validate through script on change

I have a requirement that on change of some property value in a section, I have to run script to execute Edit Validate. Edit Validate I cannot add in property as I have to do client side validation in a particular section only.

Please suggest.

Edit validate is designed to be a server side operation which will manipulate the field. Does this have to be an actual edit validate? Or can you achieve your requirement with just client side validations?
